Angela (Angi) Klick, is the founder of Polka Dot Productions, LLC featuring She Tris Sprint Triathlon. She Tris is an event for women of all ages, sizes, ability levels and backgrounds who all participate together in the sport of triathlon. Angi participated and worked in in the endurance sports business since 2005. She is a graduate of East Stroudsburg University in PA, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation and Leisure Services Management and a concentration on Therapeutic Recreation, Angi worked in a hospital and community settings focusing on children and adults with developmental disabilities and adaptive sports. She founded the Charleston chapter of the nonprofit Tri it for Life. TIFL is an all-volunteer run, non-profit organization that uses mentorship to prepare women to participate in their first women’s only triathlon. Angi served as the founding president and now serves on the National Board as the Vice President.. Through TIFL and She Tris in three short years over 1000 women have been involved.
She is passionate about women putting themselves first and taking new challenges. She has contagious enthusiasm about introducing women to the sport of triathlon. Many women participating in She Tris and TIFL are not prior athletes, never before swimming a pool lap or running a 5K. TIFL trains all women regardless of athletic ability, age, size, candor, or background. These women go on to continue to love and participate in endurance events and become empowered to tackle many facets of their lives.
“Inhale confidence, exhale doubt” is her motto and she aims to plant the seed of “you CAN do this!” Seeing women transform both mentally and physically as well as being their confidence grow as their stamina increases is her driving force.
