Q. What is Women Entrepreneurs Inc?

A. We are a membership organization dedicated to giving women the skills, education, and connections they need to build a more profitable business in their community.

Q. How are we different from a networking group?

A. While there are incredible networking opportunities as a member, our primary goal is to connect women entrepreneurs who can share their experiences, expertise, and resources with one another.

In addition, our events cover topics directly related to running a company, from hiring and scaling to pricing and sales, teaching the skills we believe to have the most impact on profitability and growth.

MEMBERSHIP

Q. What is included in a membership?

A. Your membership includes:

  • Your headshot, company logo, and bio featured on our website

  • Your listing in our Member Directory where members can search for products, services, and help from one another

  • Free access to 4 Keynote events (held once each quarter) that feature a keynote speaker and the ability to make meaningful connections with other local women entrepreneurs

  • Discounted tickets (savings of $200) to all In-Person, Virtual, and On-Demand Workshops hosted monthly

  • Ability to purchase a professional headshot with our official photographer for only $50 (discounted from $125; select markets only)

  • Access to your city’s Members Only Facebook Group that facilitates daily member-to-member knowledge exchange

  • Exclusive Members-only discounts on products and services offered by our members in the Member Marketplace

  • Ability to contribute to our blog, host a pop-up at an event, or apply to speak at an event

Q. What is the criteria for becoming a member?

A. We evaluate applications not based on you or your business, but whether or not we believe we can be of value to you.

To join, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be at least partial owner of a business operated out of the market in which you are applying

  • Must be actively committed to growing your business and to helping other members grow theirs

  • We highly recommend active participation in our Members Only Facebook Group and attendance at our events to make the most of your membership

Q. How much does a membership cost?

A. $100 for a full-year of membership. Your membership will automatically renew each year. (You can cancel at anytime.)

Q. What type of events do you host?

A. We host 4 types of events to accommodate the busy women entrepreneur’s schedule:

  • Keynotes (FREE for Members) - held on the first month of every quarter, Keynotes feature a keynote speaker and business development break-out session

  • In-Person Workshops ($15 Members / $25 Guests) - held monthly, In-Person workshops are conducted in your host market, led by a woman expert on a topic critical to running your business

  • Virtual Workshops ($15 Members / $25 Guests) - held monthly, Virtual workshops can be attended by the comfort of your own home or office, led by a woman expert on a topic critical to running your business

  • On-Demand Workshops ($15 Members / $25 Guests) - On-Demand workshops are available to download and watch anytime from our website

Q. Are events recorded?

A. All Virtual Workshops are recorded and made available to ticket holders 48-hours following the event.

Q. Are events open to the public? Can non-business owners attend? What about men?

A. Yes! While our members receive free/discounted tickets to our events, guests have the option to purchase a ticket. You do not have to be a business owner or a woman, but our content is designed specifically for women entrepreneurs.

SPEAKERS

Q. What kind of speakers do you look for?

A. Speakers are women who can teach strategic, next level business concepts combined with practical tips attendees can implement right away.

Q. Are speakers paid?

A. No, we are a “share for share” community. Speakers are most often practitioners who use public speaking as a way to:

  • Build their reputation as a thought leader

  • Gain personal reviews, recommendations and referrals for their business

Speakers are encouraged to share information about their paid services or products at the end of their presentation and are provided with the attendee email list and professional photography (in-person events) and video recording (virtual events) for marketing purposes.
